Robin Road fire caused by problem with dryer

A fire that occurred about 2 p.m. Saturday at a Robin Road apartment caused $45,000 damage

Chief Irv Isenberg, of the Getzville Fire Company, listed the cause as a problem with the dryer. The fire was still being investigated.

A neighbor reported a fire on the second floor of the neighboring apartment building at 309 Robin Road. The owner is listed as Scott Tatro.

The Getzville company responded and found smoke coming from the roof area of the two-story building. Crews had the fire extinguished within 15 minutes. Snyder Fire Company also assisted.

Structural damage was listed at $30,000 and contents at $15,000.
