Man arraigned in death of Amherst woman

Kevin Baker, 39, was arraigned Monday on a grand jury indictment before Supreme Court Justice Russell Buscaglia on the charges of murder in the second degree and attempted sexual abuse in the first degree.

Baker is accused of the Oct. 13, suffocation murder of 24-year-old Jillian M. Flagg of Amherst while she visited his home on North Street in Buffalo to provide services as an escort.

Baker pleaded not guilty at arraignment and continues to be held without bail.
