1st Lt. Robert F. Morris and Lindsay M. Garbacz

Doreen and David Garbacz of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay M. Garbacz, to 1st Lt. Robert F. Morris, son of Cheryl and Cameron Lane of Lakeview, N.Y., and Fred and Jane Morris of Lady Lake, Fla.

Miss Garbacz graduated from Lancaster High School in 2003. She received a degree in physical/ health education from Canisius College in 2007 and will begin pursuing a master's degree in sports administration at Canisius College in January. She will complete her softball career at Canisius in the spring.

Her fiance graduated from Lancaster High School in 2001. He received a degree in communication studies and military science at Canisius College in 2005 and is in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, and his unit will be deployed to Afghanistan in the spring.

A January 2008 wedding is planned.
