Music events set at Jewish Federation Apartments Jewish Federation Apartments has announced two musical entertainment performances in the month of December. West of Odessa, a Klezmer band, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, and the Kadimah School Choir will perform at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at the apartments, 275 Essjay Road in Williamsville, behind Wegmans on Sheridan Drive. West of Odessa consists of the duo of Roberta Levine and Alan Sisselman. The Buffalo-based duo draws its musical inspiration from Klezmer, Hassidic, Moldavian, and Balkan melodies. The melodies are both traditional and current from those areas. The Kadimah School Choir consists of 25 students from the Kadimah School. They will perform a variety of seasonal songs celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Kadimah School of Buffalo is the only Jewish day school in the Buffalo area that serves the entire spectrum of the Jewish population: Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative and Orthodox. Both events will take place in the social hall on the main floor. Both events are open to the public. Refreshments will be served after the Klezmer concert. "We are so pleased to be able to offer a bit of culture and entertainment to our residents to help enrich the total living experience here at the Jewish Federation Apartments," said Lori Teibel, Board President.
