Hunt Mortgage finishes relocation to Broadway, Lancaster

Hunt Mortgage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hunt Real Estate Corp., has opened its new office at 5400 Broadway, near the corner of Central Avenue, in the Village of Lancaster.

Hunt Mortgage's new facility will be staffed by 50 full-time employees who will provide operations and loan processing services. Hunt Mortgage purchased the former M&T branch building earlier this year and recently completed renovations in order to convert the building into a state-of-the-art facility.

"The opening of the company's new facility marks an important step in Hunt's continued commitment to providing a full range of high quality real estate services to our customers," said Peter F. Hunt, chairman and chief executive officer of Hunt Real Estate Corp.

Hunt Mortgage, formerly Devere Mortgage Corp., has provided lending and mortgage products to the residential community for more than 23 years.

The name change was due in part to recognition of Hunt's reputation for providing high quality real estate services and to raise awareness of the lending and mortgage products offered to new and existing customers in the Western and Central New York areas, Hunt said.

Devere, which had been open since 1984 at 105 Earhart Drive, Williamsville, is a name within the Hunt family tree, Hunt Mortgage President Linda Mallia said. Hunt Mortgage remains committed to its goal of providing homeowners with lending and mortgage products with low interest rates, she said.

"Customers who have purchased a home through former Devere Mortgage Corporation know very well the lowest rate guarantee we offer," she said. "As Hunt Mortgage, we will continue to offer the same low rates to customers who need a new mortgage or to refinance their existing one."

Hunt Real Estate Corp. operates 20 branch offices throughout Upstate New York and Phoenix, Ariz.

While the address is changing, the phone number will remain 633-3700. Office hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, or anytime by appointment, Mallia said.
