to provide tips

on working room

Members and guests of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners, will gain tips on how to work a room during the group's meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Fairdale Inn, 672 Wehrle Drive, Amherst. The program, "Perpetual Promotion: Networking Pointers and Other Tips to Wow Audiences, Groups and Whoever You Meet," will be led by NAWBO member Amy Remmele, owner of Peak of Success. Empire State

sets session

on management

Empire State College will hold a public information session about its Forum Management Program at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Beaver Hollow Conference Center, 1083 Pit Road, Java Center. The forum allows corporations to cultivate their most promising leaders. Students entering the program have typically completed two years of college study or have equivalent experience. The college's options include guided independent study with a faculty mentor, group studies and online learning, as well as credit earned through college-level life learning. College to hold

affordability

workshop

Bryant & Stratton College will hold an affordability workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at its Southtowns Campus in Orchard Park. There will be information on what types of financial aid are available, which types participants or their children are eligible for, and what other resources might be available to help pay for college.
