Business News EMS Group is expanding with the addition of its fourth full independent partner, Floss Agency. Together with the other partners, Emerling, McMahon and Stahlka agencies, the EMS Group generates $33.64 million in yearly premium volume from commercial and individual accounts. Emerling Agency, LLC is located in Williamsville; Floss Agency Inc. is in East Amherst; McMahon Agency Inc. is in Buffalo, and Stahlka Agency Inc. is in Williamsville. Buffalo Lodging Associates, a hotel development and management company, named Yvonne McPhail Osterman as the director of sales for Sleep Inn Buffalo/ Amherst. She was formerly employed by the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau, where she served as the convention sales and services coordinator. Elizabeth Pena, Amherst resident and member of the Amherst Historic Preservation Commission, has been appointed editor of Northeast Historical Archaeology. NEHA is the peer-reviewed journal of the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology. Pena is director of the art conservation program at Buffalo State College. With her term beginning in January 2008, the NEHA editorial office moves from the University of Massachusetts to Buffalo State College. Barry E. Maloney of Williamsville has been promoted to vice president of business development at Scott Danahy Naylon Co., a Williamsville insurance brokerage. In addition, he will serve as manager of the sales department. He joined the firm in 2005 and has 30 years experience in the insurance industry. Stand Advertising, located in Amherst, has hired Kimberly A. Valint, as production designer on Fairgrounds Gaming & Raceway, ECMC and Rich's Canada accounts. She is new to advertising, with a degree in graphic design from Daemen College. |
