Ralson promoting local show

Trainer and promoter Jimmy Ralston has set up another amateur card for Dec. 8 at the VFW Leonard Post in Cheektowaga.

The card will feature 12 bouts of fighters from Western New York, Northern Pennsylvania and Southern Ontario. Headlining the card will be undefeated middleweight Matt Holsher and New York State Golden Gloves welterweight champion Wendy Casey.

Ralston has set up a trio of heavyweight bouts, including a matchup of monsters in the Mike Guzda-Guy Mabee bout. Guzda, from Dunkirk, is 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, while Mabee, from Salamanca, is 7-foot, 340 pounds. The other two bouts are Emmanuel Moutrey (Rochester) vs. Adam Ferrero (Erie, Pa.) and Lorenzo Davis (Niagara Falls) vs. Sakhuddeen Mahammad (Buffalo).

The card also features local fighters Alex Stiglmeyer, Kevin Durmaj, Mark Depasquali and Akeime Coston.

Tickets cost $15 if purchased in advance and $20 at the door and are available at Paciollo's Sports, 1390 Hertel Ave., Buffalo and Pearl Street Grill, 76 Pearl Street, Buffalo.
