New Era Cap Classic accepting registration

New Era Cap Co., Inc., will be sponsoring the inaugural New Era Cap Classic Baseball Tournament next summer for multiple age groups.

The New Era Cap Classic will be open to teams nationwide in 11U through 15U, and there will also be a specific High School Showcase. The 11U, 13U and 15U tournaments will be held July 17-20, 2008, while the 12U, 14U and High School Showcase will take place July 31-August 3, 2008.

Games will be held at numerous diamonds within a 30-minute drive of the city of Buffalo, including Dunn Tire Park. College and Major League Baseball scouts are scheduled to be in attendance.

Registration costs $425 for the 11U and 12U teams and gets each squad a guaranteed four games, while the 13U-15U teams have a registration cost of $525, which guarantees at least five games per team. The High School Showcase squads also have a five-game guarantee for their $625 registration fee.

Teams that register prior to December 31 will receive 15 free custom New Era team caps. Additional quantities of caps are available at a tournament participant rate. Registrations received after January 1, 2008 will receive 15 free tournament caps in their team color.
