St. Benedict's boys hoops takes second at tourney

St. Benedict's boys varsity basketball team recently finished second in the Canisius High School Tip-off tournament.

Matt MacDonald and Dylan Blujus both averaged 10 points per game during the tournament, while Brendan Tenney and Sam Insalaco chipped in 8.5 points per contest. Marc DiLeo, Jamal Davis and Denzel Benton all scored key baskets throughout the four games.

Bobby Graczyk, Anthony Miller and Jimmy Croglio played great defense during the week and Frankie DiVito provided some big rebounds. Sixth-graders Joey Insalaco, Colin Tenney and Patrick MacDonald each scored in the semifinal win.
