Squirt Devils, Sharks tie

The Devils' Tommy Heyden broke a scoreless tie at 10:24 of the third. Maeve Christ (Pat Irving) tied it at 4:15.

The Devils' Alex Gervase, Taylor Malesky, Justin Presutti, Ryan House and Rex Koeppen and the Sharks' Jack Cooper, Adam Smolka and Matt Vizzi helped defensively.

Devil Nick Molnar and Shark Neal Greiner were awesome goalies.

The Devils' Max Ferro, Sal Dinatale, Frankie Bodami, Nick Daigler, Jimmy O'Neill, Jonah Held, Calab Cammarata and Gianni Bordonaro displayed good effort.

The Sharks' Samantha Degen, Amit Gulati, Connor Lalime, Matt Chrzanowski, Vince Lalama, Tristan Henriques, Carter Wild, Steve Frost and Christian Aichinger played well.

Penguins earn first win

The Squirt Penguins defeated the White Sabres, 4-2, to record their first victory of the season.

The Penguins' Brennan Hurley (Nick Tracy) opened the scoring 18 seconds in. The White Sabres answered with goals by Benjamin Wald and Max McArthur (Michael Militello). Penguin captain Austin Ballard (Patrick Rosen) made it 2-2 at the end of the first.

The entire second period and most of the third was dominated by goalies Tom Draper (Penguin) and Joseph Meosky (White Sabre).

Late in the third, the Penguins' Sarah Scolnick scored the game-winning goal. Ballard scored his second into an empty net.

Flyers remain undefeated

The Squirt Flyers remain undefeated after beating the Bruins, 5-3.

The Flyers scored the only two goals in the first period from Hudson Milligan (Alex Streng) and second star Matthew Mirand.

The Bruins tied it in the second from Cameron Czora (Brady Kyle) and Paul Koestler. The Flyers made it 4-2 with goals from Mirand (Kyle Conover) and Noah Bachwitz (Mirand). Conover scored late in the third.

Koestler (Kyle) netted his second in the closing minutes. Flyers goalie Jacob Zurat (first star) kept his team in the game.

Dylan Birzon was third star. The game puck went to Noah Bachwitz.
