Bernice K. Gunderman, supervisor, counselor

Bernice K. Gunderman, 80, of Williamsville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007.

Born in Lackawanna, she graduated from Lackawanna High School and Medaille College.

She was a self-employed supervisor with Shaklee Corporation, and a certified personality profile consultant who did profiles for many local churches, businesses and schools.

Mrs. Gunderman was a Hospice volunteer and a volunteer with Consolata Mission Center in

Amherst, coordinating programs that brought inner city children and those from the suburbs together. She also served as a lay counselor and support group facilitator, especially with women who had been abused.

Mrs. Gunderman sang professionally with Sweet Adelines, and was the soloist at many weddings and funerals. She enjoyed gardening, music, dancing, singing and piano.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, N.; three sons, Herb and Todd Schoenfeld and Steve; seven daughters, Gale Chapple, Kim Alessi, Meg Covert, Vicki, Linda Schaffer, Paula Konotopskyj and Roberta Moe; one sister, Ellie Kropovitch; 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Monday, Nov. 26 at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church. Arrangements were made by Amigone Funeral Home.
