PRESIDENT PLAQUE - A new plaque was unveiled at the Tuesday, Nov. 13 Parent, Teacher, Student Association's School Board recognition reception honoring all of the past presidents of the Williamsville Board of Education, dating back to the district's founding at the turn of the 20th century. The plaque, which pays tribute to the leadership and volunteer service of the past presidents, will be on display outside the district boardroom. Six former board presidents, plus the current president, were on hand in the Casey Middle School Library for the ceremonial unveiling, held prior to the board meeting. Pictured from left to right, with their terms as president noted, are Robert Schwartz (1998-99); Dr. Barry Weinstein (1988-90); Jean Wood (1985-88); Sharon Harris-Ewing (1999-2002); Ramona Popowich (2006-present); Judith Katz (1982-84); and Ronald Shubert (2002-04).
