Michael Hojsan and Mary K. Long

Mary and Alan Long of Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kate Long, to Michael Hojsan, son of Gail and Mark Hojsan of Hamburg.

Miss Long graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1997. She earned a degree in childhood education from Buffalo State College in 2006. She is a sixth-grade math teacher.

Her fiance graduated from Hamburg Central High School in 2000. He earned a degree in criminal justice from Erie Community College in 2003. He is a state employee.

A February 2009 wedding is planned.
