Julie A. Furgala and James J. Asztalos II

Tina and Lt. Col. William T. Furgala of Sharpsburg, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Ann Furgala, to James J. Asztalos II, son of Antoinette and James J. Asztalos of West Seneca.

Miss Furgala graduated from Hamburg High School in 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Fredonia State College in 2004, graduating with honors. She earned her Master of Education degree in reading from the University of Georgia in 2006, also graduating with honors. She is an educator for the Gwinnett County School system in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Her fiance graduated from West Seneca West High School in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Fredonia State College in 2004 and a Master of Education degree in instructional technology from Troy University in 2006. He is also an educator for the Gwinnett County Schools.

A July 2008 wedding is planned.
