Christmas brats

It's going to be "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at the Lancaster Opera House.

Produced by the Lancaster Opera House and directed by Thomas T. Kazmierczak III, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is based on the national best seller by Barbara Robinson. It tells the story of the worst kids in the world, the Herdmans. They lie, steal and smoke cigars. So no one is prepared when this outlaw family invades church and takes over the annual Christmas pageant. But, it will make this year's pageant the most unusual anyone has seen - and just possibly the best one ever.

The cast includes Patricia Hannel and Darryl Hart as Mr. and Mrs. Bradley, Kaitlyn Nowak and Matthew Dolly as Beth and Charley Bradley, Corey Franklin Grzechowiak, Emily Hannel, Isabel Trillizio, Steven Fusani, Patrick Uhteg Jr. and Ashley Andrews as the horrible Herdmans.

Performances are 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15; 1 p.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16; and 11 a.m. Dec. 8 and 15.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $11 for children, and are available by calling 683-1776.
