John C. Wright of Snyder has been hired by Waterford Village Bank as senior vice president of commercial banking. He brings nearly 25 years of financial industry experience, having previously worked with Citibank, Fleet National Bank and HSBC Bank USA. He serves as chairman of the board of the Buffalo Niagara YMCA.
Edward F. Stachura of Williamsville has been named senior project manager at TVGA Consultants. He has 43 years of transportation and civil design experience, along with project management skills. TVGA Consultants, an engineering firm, is located in Elma.
Susan L. Asquith of Amherst has been named senior vice president at Travers Collins & Company. A member of the executive management team, she is the lead counselor for several large clients. In June she earned Best of Show honors at the Excalibur Awards Competition for her recruitment campaign for the City of Buffalo Police Department.
Gregory A. Ahrens has joined Alliance Advisory Group Inc.'s Williamsville office as a financial representative. He will focus on client relationships. Ahrens most recently worked for M&T Bank, and prior to that he managed his own marketing firm.
Amy Habib Rittling of Amherst has been named board chair for Buffalo Seminary's board of trustees. She is a 1986 graduate of the seminary. Most recently, she worked for the law offices of Thomas H. Burton, and she has served as attorney adviser to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C.
Tracy Curtin has been named general manager at Hampton Inn Buffalo/Williamsville, located at 5455 Main St., in the village. She joined the company in 2004 as the hotel's executive housekeeper and then was promoted to assistant general manager. She had nine years' experience at the Hyatt Regency.
Joseph M. Floss of East Amherst has been elected 2007-08 president of the Insurance Club of Buffalo Inc. He is a certified insurance counselor and president of The Floss Insurance Agency. The club hosts Buffalo "I-Day," which is one of the largest insurance conventions in the country.
James J. Tyrpak of Williamsville has been elected president for the Society of Financial Service Professionals for 2007-08. He is president of Desmon, Kohnstamm & Tyrpak Inc., a wealth preservation and business continuity firm in Buffalo. He has held several positions within the society.
Michael B. Dolan has been named a partner at Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP, a Williamsville-based certified public accounting and business consulting firm. He has more than 15 years of public accounting experience and has been a principal in the firm's tax department and a senior manager.
Jamie Jordan of Lincoln Financial Advisors in Williamsville has earned the chartered retirement planning counselor professional designation. To achieve the designation, she had to study a series of retirement planning topics, followed by an examination. The company provides planning services.
Alex Campanella announced that Campanella Orthotics and Prosthetics received a three-year Accreditation Award by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. The award is the highest level of accreditation achievable in the industry. Campanella's has an office at 3580 Sheridan Drive in Amherst.
Tim Foster of Amherst has been named senior sales director for Independent Health. He will be responsible for overall sales planning, account management and new business development. He was most recently senior director of corporate sales and administration for HealthNow.
