Honor roll policy changed
      The Bee Group Newspapers has implemented a new policy for honor roll listings. Only students who achieve the highest honor, as named by the individual school, will be listed. The newspaper will run lists only for students in grades 5-12.

Entranceway to Amherst High getting facelift

      Renovations to the front entranceway continue at Amherst High School with proposed sculpted tigers next to each side of the front steps. At the Nov. 20 Amherst School Board meeting, sculptor Larry Griffis III showed the board clay renderings of the tigers. Amherst's mascot is a tiger.
