St. Greg's sets school records

St. Gregory the Great swimmers ended their season on a high at Championships with two new school records.

Theresa Munroe shattered the girls 200 freestyle with a 2:11.61, taking third place. Patrick Munroe followed with a 25.42 in the 50 free, placing first. The freestyle and medley relays of Patrick Munroe, Theresa Munroe, Christina Seminara and Marianna Militello both took first place and were undefeated for the season. The Munroes teamed up to take first and third in the 50 back. Christina Seminara dazzled with a second in the 50 fly and Marianna Militello finished a strong third in the 100 free.

The 9/10 division faired well with the medley and free relays of Anna Rubino, Allan Collins, Alexa Bradley and Anthony Kershner taking first in both events. Rubino added a first in the 50 free and 50 back. Alexa Bradley looked awesome in taking second in the 50 fly while Olivia Macdonald finished a smooth second in the 50 breast.

In the 8 and under division, Maeve Christ took first in the 100 IM and 25 free. Margaret Niederpruem swam a stellar 25 fly to place first. Relays that also medaled were the medley relay of Maeve Christ, Margaret Niederpruem, Matthew Jonas and Julia Tudor and the freestyle relay of Niederpruem, Christ, Tudor and Willow Lunn.
