Amherst Squirt Minor too tough for Jamestown

The Amherst Minor Squirt "AA" team were clicking offensively in Jamestown as they scored three times in each period to post a 9-1 win.

Linemates Connor Wagner, Zac Kozlin, and Josh Knauf combined for five goals with Kozlin and Wagner netting two and Knauf putting one.

Jordan Jenneve, Ben Reichert, Chris DiRienzo and Connor Bender also scored for Amherst with Holden Greene picking up two assists.

Jacob Siegel was strong in goal for the Knights as he turned aside all but one Jamestown shot, their lone marker coming from Ryan Pascarella.

Amherst 6, Webster 1

Amherst got off to a quick start with three goals in the first period. Dylan Wild, Jacob Siegel and Zac Kozlin all found the net with Jeff Browne, Nick Carbone, Connor Wagner and Josh Knauf providing assists. Wagner scored the lone second period goal with help from Kozlin.

Chris DiRienzo and Wagner with his second scored in the third with Ben Levy and Wild chipping in assists. Cam Carney stood tall between the pipes for Amherst as he turned aside all but one Webster shot.

Amherst moved to 6-2.
