Bride's father officiates at ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Antonino Anzaldi
Aileen Ann Comerford married Antonino Anzaldi in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna. The bride's father, Deacon Michael V. Comerford, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Judith and Deacon Michael V. Comerford of West Seneca. The groom is the son of Anna and Francesco Anzaldi of Chicago.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a Demetrios couture gown with hand-sewn pearl trimming along the bodice, hemline and cathedral train. Her hand-sewn veil was fingertip length. She carried a bouquet of white American Beauty roses and blue hydrangeas. She wore a diamond and pearl pendant worn by her maternal great-grandmother on her wedding day.

The matron of honor was Meghan Newell, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Alicia Comerford and Elizabeth Kamien, cousins of the bride; Maria Muriella, sister of the groom; Giuseppina Savarino and Maria Teresa Anzaldi, cousins of the groom; and Dena Roncone and Sarah Christ, friends of the bride.

The flower girl was Moira Newell, niece of the bride.

The best man was Santo Anzaldi, brother of the groom. The ushers were Lorenza Muriella, brother-in-law of the groom; Angelo Gurrieri, Mike LoBello, Anthony Demma and Santo Anzaldi, cousins of the groom; Michael Comerford III and Sean Comerford, brothers of the bride; Paul McNamara, uncle of the bride; and Mario Cinardi, friend of the groom.

The ring bearer was Alessandro Muriella, nephew of the groom.

A reception was held at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew. The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, but will also take a three-week tour of Italy next summer.
