Karen M. and Kenneth Wierzbowski of Cheektowaga announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly A. Wierzbowski, to Jacob H. Lipiew, son of Barbara and Henry Lipiew of West Seneca.

Miss Wierzbowski graduated from West Seneca East High School in 1996. She earned a degree in psychology and English from the University at Buffalo in 2001. She is a FedEx account manager. She is associated with the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Her fiance graduated from West Seneca West High School in 2000. He earned a degree in criminal justice and creative study from Buffalo State College in 2005. He is a Niagara bridge operator. He is associated with the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society.

An October 2008 wedding is planned.
