Jennifer L. Hanson and Matthew R. Wolcott

Andria and Joseph Hanson of Patchogue, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lauren Hanson, to Matthew Robert Wolcott, son of Tina and Richard Wolcott of West Seneca.

Miss Hanson graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School in 1998. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in human services from Villanova University in 2002 and a master's degree in education in school counseling from Boston University in 2004. She is a transition counselor at Lexington High School in Lexington, Mass.

Her fiance graduated from St. Francis High School in 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Boston University in 2002. He is employed as a programmer analyst for Meditech in Framingham, Mass.

An August 2008 wedding is planned.
