Sisters marry eight weeks apart; aunt makes both gowns

Rebecca Lynne Switzer married Michael Lee Haines in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in West Seneca. The Rev. Dr. Ralph J. Anderson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Suzanne and Kenneth Switzer of West Seneca. The groom is the son of Maryann and Ellsworth Cook of Strykersville.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The bride's and bridesmaids gowns and flower arrangements were made by her aunt, Dawn Borsuk.

The matron of honor was Sarah Kos, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Melissa and Shana Switzer, sisters of the bride; Molly Switzer, cousin of the bride; Darlene Eckert, sister of the groom; and Sara Sullivan, Kelly Ruth and Tammy Mauerman, friends of the bride.

The flower girl was Brielle Kos, niece of the bride.

The best man was Jay Mauerman, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Randy Janish, brother of the groom; David Eckert, brother-in-law of the groom; Andrew Kos, brother-in-law of the bride; Douglas and Donald Borsuk, cousins of the bride; and Mark Kuntz and Nik Dimitrievski, friends of the groom.

The ring bearer was Logan Haines, son of the groom.

A reception was held at Ilio DiPaolo's Banquet Facility in Blasdell.

The couple is at home in West Seneca with Logan after a honeymoon to the Mayan Riviera.

Melissa Ann Switzer married William Joseph Goc III in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at Bread of Life Church in Buffalo. The Rev. Frank Montileone officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Suzanne and Kenneth Switzer of West Seneca. The groom is the son of Luanne and William Goc of South Buffalo.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a gown made by her aunt, Dawn Borsuk. She carried a bouquet of flowers in fall colors. Her bouquet and all the flower arrangements were also made by her aunt.

The maid of honor was Shana Switzer, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Rebecca Haines and Sarah Kos, sisters of the bride; Molly Switzer, cousin of the bride; Amanda Goc, sister of the groom; and Charlene Hayes, friend of the bride.

The flower girl was Brielle Kos, godchild and niece of the bride.

The best man was Rob Goc, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were George Droesch, James Banko, Benjamin Roland, James LaPorte and Michael Hazen, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Ironworkers Banquet Facility in West Seneca.

The couple is at home in Hamburg after a honeymoon to the Mayan Riviera.
