Master Khechen School of Tae Kwon-Do Williamsville students compete at invite tourney

Students from the Master Khechen School of Tae Kwon-Do in Williamsville competed in the second annual Camille Khechen Invitational Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Students competed in forms, sparring and weapons, and musical weapons divisions across all age groups and belt levels. Participating in tournaments gives each student a sense of accomplishment, win or lose, and allows each student to measure their personal performance and set goals to better themselves.

The Williamsville school students train under head instructor Christopher D. Schiele, third degree black belt, and 2007 US Open Martial Arts Tournament Grand Champion, among other U.S. titles.

In a special self-designed musical weapons form competition, Mr. Paul Garas placed first in the Adult Black Belt Division, displaying the art of the Kamas and Mr. Noah Diebel placed first in the Junior Black Belt Division, also displaying the art of the Kamas.

The Master Khechen School of Tae Kwon-Do has four locations: 1360 Hopkins Road in Williamsville, 1200 Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo, 3170 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park and the newest location at 1460 French Road in Depew.
