Stars blank Rangers, 2-0

The Amherst Pee Wee Stars edged the Rangers, 4-3, in an exciting game on Nov. 10 at the Pepsi Center to up their record to 2-0.

The Rangers, with goals from Tyler Penberthy, Nicholos Cuomo and John Huyler, jumped out to a two-goal lead late into the second period. However, Star forwards Nick Noe and Trevor Shaw scored to keep it close.

In the third period, the Stars strong forecheck paid dividends. Conor Mulvey scored to tie the game and Nicholas Schiappa netted the game winner with less than 90 seconds left.
