Bisons edge Knights 'AA', 3-2 Bison sniper Matt Cohen's unassisted, short-handed goal proved the game winner as the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Amherst Knights, 3-2, on Saturday. Bison speedster Miles Koessler converted Austin Otterbein's feed to open the scoring. Leading scorer Brian Conboy then fed Nick Alfieri to give the Bisons a 2-0 lead, but Amherst's Connor Wagner cut the deficit to 2-1. Cohen then made it 3-1. Amherst's Bennett Levy closed out the scoring. Bison goaltender Ian Nash was stellar, stopping 16 of 18 shots. Amherst goalie Cam Carney also had 16 saves. The Bisons improved to 4-1-1. Amherst dropped to 4-2. |
