Cameras added along Thruway show delays

The New York State Thruway Authority has launched an interactive mapping system, designed to provide customers with current, up-to-the-minute traffic information and cameras along various sections of the Thruway system. The is now available at www.nys thruway. gov.

The goal of the mapping interface is to make travel along the Thruway more convenient and efficient by allowing customers to plan around scheduled construction and check for any major incidents.

The authority recently added 22 additional traffic cameras to the new interactive mapping interface as part of its mission to help expand access to current travel information, for a total of 31 available traffic cameras. Cameras can be accessed at www.nys thruway.gov/webcams. Cameras were added at interchanges on Interstates 90 and 190.
