Benefit set for Williamsville man

A benefit for 38-year-old Williamsville native Craig Donovan will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Main Transit Fire Hall, 6777 Main St., Williamsville.

Donovan was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in August 2007 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He will also undergo radiation therapy and a 14-hour surgery in January. He was diagnosed two weeks after becoming a father for the first time.

Tickets for the event are $20. Food and entertainment will be available as well as a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Sabres and Bills items will be auctioned or raffled off as well as restaurant and salon gift certificates.

Donations for the auction and raffle are being sought from local businesses.
