Caribbean cruise to mark 70th anniversary

Marie and Peter Torchia of Williamsville celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a luncheon at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew.

Peter Torchia married the former Marie LaDuca on Nov. 6, 1937 at Holy Cross Church in Buffalo.

Peter is retired from Dupont in Tonawanda. Marie is retired from retail sales.

The couple are members of St. Gregory the Great Church in Williamsville. They also enjoy golf, bowling and playing cards.

They have planned a Caribbean cruise to further celebrate their anniversary. The couple have three children, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
