Great-great-grandmother's necklace worn by bride

Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Goldfarb
Brooke Schiferle married Joshua Goldfarb in an evening ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at the Butler Mansion in Buffalo. Rabbi Harry Rosenfeld officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and James Schiferle of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Judith Goldfarb of White Plains, N.Y., and the late Stephen Goldfarb.

The bride was escorted by her parents.

She wore an Anne Barge A-line gown with a French Alencon lace cap sleeve and a French Alencon lace veil with a traditional blusher. She also wore a diamond and sapphire ring borrowed from her paternal grandmother and a necklace that her maternal great-great-grandmother wore on her own wedding day. She carried a bouquet of Black Magic roses.

The maid of honor was Maryam Arfaania, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Rebecca Maurer, Tracy Fiorella, Alison Siegel, Carey Wilson and Katherine Costa, friends of the bride.

The best man was Matthew Goldfarb, brother of the groom. The ushers were Kevin, Robert and Michael Schiferle, brothers of the bride, and Michael Levine, Jared Levin, Scott Gurfein, Chris DelBene and Greg Scheier, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at the Butler Mansion.

The couple are at home in Brooklyn, N.Y., after traveling to the Finger Lakes. They will take a honeymoon trip to Europe next summer.
