Citizen legislator thanks voters

I wish to thank the residents of Amherst for honoring me with their votes and allowing me to continue to serve as their legislator in the 4th District. It is truly heartwarming to have the support of so many Amherst voters.

As I walked in your neighborhoods during the past several months and spoke with you in your homes, I genuinely appreciated you sharing your thoughts and concerns about Erie County government. As a citizen legislator, I will continue to bring a business-minded approach to Erie County, working to make government more efficient, less costly and more responsive to your needs.

I listened carefully to what you told me, and I will continue my stand against higher taxes, against wasteful spending, and against burdensome laws that drive up the cost of county government. I especially look forward to working with County Executive-elect, Chris Collins, in executing the reform measures needed to strengthen our community and improve our economy.
