Wilson Farms Inc., located in Williamsville, recently appointed Patrick Sheridan as operations/marketing liaison, and Denise Gorlick will serve as point of sale coordinator.

William L. Duax was named a 2007 American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow in biological sciences. A scientist at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, he was recognized for determining numerous three-dimensional structures of steroids and proteins, predicting protein substrates, tracing the evolution of the genetic code and contributing to minority education. He is also is a professor in the Structural Biology Department of the University at Buffalo and an executive officer with the American Crystallographic Association.

Joan Patchett of Amherst, a designer with Home & Garden Party, was recently promoted to silver designer with the company. To reach this goal, Patchett had to have had sponsored two recruits and had personal sales of $300 or more.
