Voters deny propositions

      All three propositions on the town's Nov. 6 ballot were defeated. The first, the open space bond resolution for $12 million, failed by a vote of 8,268 to 13,618. The second, a bond resolution for $3.1 million for the Audubon Golf Course, failed, 7,343 votes to 13,683.

Hayes schedules townwide meeting
      Assemblyman Jim Hayes has scheduled a town meeting for all Amherst residents. The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Eggertsville Fire Hall, 1880 Eggert Road.
