SSPP loses regular season finale
The SS. Peter and Paul swim team ended the season with a 139-109 loss to St. Christopher's on Sunday at Sweet Home High School.

SSPP ended the season at fourth place in Division I.

11 and up

Rachel Kuechle took first in the 200 freestyle and 50 butterfly. Second-place winners were Kathleen Ruggiero (200 IM), Rachael Nasca (50 free) and Allyson Costanza (100 free).

Adding points with third-place wins were Maury Fields (50 fly), Rachael Nasca (100 free), Sara Miliotto (50 back) and Claire Haumesser (50 breast).

The medley relay of Ruggiero, Kuechle, Fields and Victoria Mendiola took second, and the free relay of Costanza, Clare Costello, Gina Nasca and Marla Calabro placed third.

9-10

The 9-and-10 group ended their season with another win.

Marissa Olsen won the 50 back and took second in the 100 IM. Peter Weimer took first in the 50 breast.

Second-place winners were Lauren Shine (50 free), Katie Colson (50 fly, 50 back) and Jason Brick (100 free).

Evan Manna took third in the 50 free, as did Alexandra Sommer in the 100 free and Valerie Mueller in the 50 breast.

The medley relay of Olsen, Weimer, Shine and Brick and the free relay of Shine, Manna, Colson and Brick each took first.

8 and under

The 8-and-under division lost their age group by two points.

Charles Weimer was a double winner (50 free, 50 fly).

Jessica Shine won the 50 free. Mark Venditti took first in the 50 breast.

Jacob Barberio placed second in the 50 free and third in the 100 IM.

The medley relay of Shine, Venditti, Weimer and Barberio took first.

The free relay of Logan Noe, Frank Wendelin, Mariana Arellano and Garrett Braniecki placed third.
