retired teacher Jean F. McFarren, 75, of Getzville, died on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at

Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. McFarren graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, in 1954 and received a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1955.

She was a retired teacher at Shaker Heights Junior High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

She enjoyed boating, fishing, music, art, golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, G. Allen; one son, James; two sisters, Carol Wipper and Joanne Hadlock; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Amherst Chapel of the Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drives.
