Gingerbread party, auction set

Gilda's Club WNY will hold a gingerbread auction and gift sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2 at the clubhouse, 1140 Delaware Ave., Buffalo.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, such as jewelry, quilts and pottery, crafted by local artists. The artists are donating 20 percent of the proceeds to benefit Gilda's Club as part of Artists In Buffalo's Holiday Open Studios and Galleries.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid via silent auction on homemade gingerbread houses created by amateur and professional bakers. Refreshments will be available.

On Friday, Nov. 30, a preview sale and cocktail party will be held at Gilda's Club from 6 to 9 p.m.

Those attending the preview sale will have an opportunity to bid via silent auction on the gingerbread houses and will also have the opportunity to preview and purchase the gifts that will be available all weekend.

Hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served.

The cost for the preview sale is $50. Tickets can be purchased by calling 332-5900, ext. 203.
