Investment information presented in free seminar

Residents are welcome to attend a free seminar on wise and safe investing, presented by AARP, the office of the New York attorney general and the Investor Protection Trust.

The seminar is part of a statewide initiative titled "Investor Education on Campus" to provide information to help consumers make informed investment decisions.

The event includes large- and small-group workshops on how to make money last through retirement, improve after-tax returns and develop a roadmap for investing wisely.

The Western New York seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Erie Community College's North Campus in Bretschger Hall, Room 401. The campus is at 6205 Main St., at Youngs Road.

For information or to register, call 1-877-926-8800.

Investor Education on Campus is part of the national Campaign for Wise and Safe Investing, co-sponsored by the AARP Foundation and Investor Protection Trust to provide non-commercial, investor education.
