ART OF THE HEART
Helen Broecker, 96, an artist and resident at ElderWood Health Care at Heathwood displays her painting, "The Bouquet of Sweetness," that will be displayed in Assemblyman Jim Hayes' district office in Williamsville. The artwork had been on display at the Albany Institute of History and Art as part of the second annual "Art from the Heart" program. A ceremony was held on Nov. 1 in which Broecker presented the piece to Hayes. It was one of only 22 pieces selected for the special exhibit.
