Amherst 'AA' Squirt Minors win 3-2 thriller over Rochester

Amherst improved its league record to 4-0 with a hard fought victory over Rochester on Sunday afternoon.

With the score tied 2-2 entering the third period, Nick Carbone netted the winner with 6:43 showing on the clock with Rachel DePerio and Chris DiRienzo chipping in assists.

Carbone also scored in the second and assisted on DePerio's first period marker. Jacob Siegel was stellar between the pipes for the Knights as Rochester mounted a furious attack in the waning moments but could not beat the Amherst netminder.
