Bantam Knights, Saints earn wins
Youth hockey

The Amherst Bantam Minor "A" beat the Buffalo Bisons, 7-4.

The Knights took a two-goal lead with scoring from Patrick Griffin and Joe Todaro in the first period.

In the second momentum swung to the Bisons as they tailed two unanswered goals. Momentum swung back to the Knights after defenseman Christian Curatolo executed a thunderous check at center ice. Minutes later, Griffin scored his second of the game.

In the third period Amherst took control with goals from Derek Aichinger twice, Mike Nowicki and Todaro's second. Goalie T.J Brodzick earned the victory.

Bantam St. Lawrence 4, Yale 1

The Bantam St. Lawrence Saints got some excellent goaltending from Dominic Cinelli and two goals from Michael Biggane to defeat Yale 4-1.

Cinelli was the star of the game helping St. Lawrence even their record to 1-1 on the season.

The Saints got off to a 1-0 lead on Patrick Waldron's goal in the first period. Just 31 seconds later it was Matthew Wilhelm scoring to make it 2-0.

The Saints took a 3-0 lead on Biggane's first goal midway through the second period. Yale's Tim Balkin scored to make it 3-1, but Biggane scored again en route to the 4-1 final.
