CHAMPS - The 14U New Era Diamond Girls defeated the Michigan Outlaws, 2-1, to win the 16U division of the Tri-State Showcase Tournament held Oct. 13-14 in Cranburn, Pa. The team beat the Pittsburgh Spirit, 2-1, and Erie Krush, 13-2, and lost to Team Indiana, 6-2, in pool play and defeated the Amherst Lightning, 8-3, in a playoff game and the Syracuse Salt, 4-1, in a semifinal contest. The New Era Diamond Girls earned a berth to the 2008 NSA Nationals.
