Bel Canto, SAI to give concert

Anna Fretz, Julia DiNoto and Matthew Panaro all Amherst residents and Presto Choristers, will perform with other members of the Bel Canto choirs and the SAI Music Fraternity.
Students in the Presto, Vivace and Bravo choirs of Bel Canto will perform with members of SAI Music Fraternity in their 10th annual Musicale at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at Amherst Community Church, 77 Washington Highway, Amherst.

The concert will consist of an afternoon of solo and choral performances.

Tickets are $8 each or $15 for a family four-pack and are available at the door.

SAI Music Fraternity is an international music fraternity dedicated to the promotion of and service to great music and musicians.

A free reception will follow for the audience to meet the musicians. ABC will also be sponsoring a take-home baked goods sale to help support members of Vivace as they raise funds for the summer 2009 tour.

The mission of the Bel Canto Choirs is to develop within the children of Western New York a love of high-quality choral music through performance.

This season, students have been selected from 33 different WNY schools to participate in Bel Canto's three choirs: Presto for students in grades 4-6, Vivace for treble voices grades 7-12, and Bravo for mixed voices grades 9-12.
