Wedding vows recited in two languages

Kelly Kieffer married Tidiani Cheick Diarra in a late afternoon ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007 in the courtyard at the Millennium Airport Hotel in Cheektowaga. The vows were recited in both English and French, the native language of the groom and his family. The Rev. Jan McHugh officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Ellen and George Kieffer of Clarence. The groom is the son of Fatoumata Diaoune and Oumar Diarra of Mali, Africa.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The maid of honor was Stacey Kieffer, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Kristen Bankas, Mandy Burzanko, Megan Haven, Kelly Hopping, Corin Pilo, Kate Seyler and Ashlee Toeller, friends of the bride.
The flower girl was Fatima Diaoune, sister of the groom.
The best man was Cheick Diarra, brother of the groom. The ushers were Mirnes Biscvic, Lasanna Camara, Eric Dushime, Morris Green, Boubacar Koite, Mbwana Johnson and Eddie Peters, friends of the groom.
The ring bearers were Soya and Moustapha Diaoune, brothers of the groom.
A reception was held at the Millennium Hotel. The couple are at home in North Tonawanda after a honeymoon in Hawaii.
