Tim Creenan, owner and founder of Amherst Alarm, has been nominated for the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association's Chapter President of the Year award. He was nominated for his support of alarm reduction campaigns throughout the state. Amherst Alarm was founded by Tim and Maryann Creenan in 1984.
Paul M. Bowers, former Amherst town engineer, has been appointed project manager for Wm. Schutt & Associates, Engineering & Surveying, of Lancaster. He is a past president of both the New York State Society of Professional Engineers and the Erie/Niagara Chapter of the state society.
Brenda John-Banach of Williamsville has been named vice president of Outpatient Operations for Horizon Health Services. As a member of Horizon's executive management team, she will oversee the clinical operations of the organization's 18 outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment programs. She has been with Horizon Health Services since 1988.
David J. Sampson of Amherst has been named director of mission advancement for St. Joseph University parish. He previously was employed at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. He is a member of the grant review committee for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Hugh M. Russ III of Snyder has been been named president of the alumni board for Nichols School. A 1978 graduate, he is a trial lawyer with Hodgson Russ LLP. His involvement with Nichols also includes being a class agent, a 30th Reunion Committee member and an annual fund volunteer.
Robert Wallace has been named president/chief executive officer and executive director of Canterbury Woods Continuing Care Retirement Community in Williamsville. He was vice president of Health Care Services with Retirement Living Services. He became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in New York State 14 years ago.
