Business News The Junior League of Buffalo will host an Afternoon of Culinary Delights luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at The Park Country Club, 4949 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its award-winning cookbook, "Great Lake Effects - Buffalo Beyond Winter & Wings." Milch of Williamsville, former medical director of Hospice Buffalo; the Community Health Foundation of Central and WNY; and the Nanula Family (Hospice supporters and board member), were awarded the Hospice Hope, Care and Dignity Award. The award was presented to the group for their support and collaborative partnership with Hospice Buffalo. CIPA Western New York IPA Inc. recently appointed Nancy Hourigan of Williamsville as manager of physician compensation and pay for performance, and Heidi B. National Fuel has donated $25,000 to Erie Community College to develop a new Field Operations for Energy Utilities program at the college's north campus on Youngs Road in Amherst. The 12-credit, one semester program will be offered as a core concentration under the industrial technology associate degree program at ECC starting in January 2008. For information, call 851-1413. Buffalo Medical Group's Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography departments have been awarded three-year accreditations by the American College of Radiology. ACR accreditation involves a review process and recognizes the competence, dedication and commitment to maintaining the highest quality imaging standards. The MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography departments previously received three-year accreditations. The group has a location at 295 Essjay Road, Williamsville. Amherst Alarm recently had two employees receive certification. Wesley Ribbeck as a certified professional installer and Thomas Creenan as a certified professional designer. Both were certified by the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association. Ribbeck, of Akron, is a residential systems project manager, and Creenan, of Amherst, has been at Amherst Alarm for nine years and serves as a residential system sales and design manager. |
