Christa Morgante, a Williamsville East High School graduate and an East Amherst resident, scored her first collegiate soccer goal to help Fredonia State College to a 5-0 win on Oct. 13 over Potsdam State College. Morgante scored on a cross from sophomore Lauren Heiweil.

Billy Wisniewski, Williamsville South High School graduate and Williamsville resident, carded a team-low 74 on the final day of the Nazareth/St. John Fisher Invitational on Oct. 8 to help the Allegheny College Gators win top honors.

Wisniewski also helped the Gators win the Allegheny College Griffin Motors Golf Tournament on Sept. 30. Wisniewski won medalist honors for the Gators, carding a two-day total of 142, totaling two strokes under par for the event.

Wisniewski followed up his first-round 68 with a 74 on the second day, topping the field by two overall strokes, and taking a two-stroke lead for conference medalist honors, carding a four-round score of 291, which includes scores from the two fall and two spring events.
