 | | CARVING BEGINS - Amherst attorney Herschel Gelber is sponsoring the carving of a carrousel horse from a tree which was lost due to last year's October storm. Work began last week at the Erie Basin Marina. Shown are Rick Pratt, left, the chainsaw artist; Gelber and his wife Stephanie; and Therese Forton-Barnes, creator of Carvings for a Cause. The sculpture, featuring the lead horse from the Herschell Carrousel Museum in North Tonawanda, will eventually be displayed at Gelber's Main Street offices.
