If so, can we assume she will also share her award with the women of America? .In Dan Ward's early years on the board and as supervisor, he appeared to be doing a good job for taxpayers, but since he has been "Kindelized" all his efforts seem geared to thwarting the efforts and policies of Satish Mohan. Between him and Kindel, all they do is make waves on the town board meetings. .My children attend Williamsville North High School, and their homecoming dance was the weekend of Oct. 20. I think it is appalling and heartbreaking that only 1,000 tickets are available to the dance due to fire code restrictions and occupancy restrictions. There are approximately 1,400 to 1,600 children in the school, and only 1,000 children are allowed to attend the dance. This is disgraceful. They should rent a larger space in which to hold the homecoming dance. .I am one of almost 400 volunteers for Amherst Wheels-on-Meals, and we are all very offended by remarks made at the Oct. 15 town board meeting. Amherst Meals-on-Wheels is short-staffed because the town board won't let us fill a position, and we are in serious jeopardy of not being able to serve all the people who need our services. That will result in a creation of a waiting list. Imagine, not being able to bring food to those who need it in Amherst. .Many thanks to Mayor Lowther for the left-turn arrow at the signal at Wehrle and South Cayuga. It adds a bit of safety to a very dangerous intersection. .We now know why Supervisor Mohan has not kept his promise to work as supervisor for $1 per year. Amherst voters elected him supervisor based upon his keeping his campaign promises. If he cannot or will not keep his end of the bargain, he should resign. |
