 | | SHALL WE DANCE? - Mike and Carolyn Dowling demonstrate the period dances that will be part of The Victorian Dance Society of the Amherst Museum's ninth annual Victorian Ball, to be held Saturday, Nov. 10. Participants may attend a Saturday morning workshop to learn the dances, which were popular in Western New York during the reign of Queen Victoria, 1837 to 1901; including reels, quadrilles, contras, waltzes, polkas and Germans.
